Countdown to Doomtown 2013!

Today it starts! We are all very excited and looking forward to a weekend of doom and madness!

To everyone who has a ticket for Stengade today we advise you get there early and check-in, in order to not get big clusters when the music starts. The doors and artexhibit will start at 17.00. Dont miss the poetry bookreading at 18.30 upstairs at Stalingrad. We will also be giving away wine and snacks, so get there early and enjoy the displayed works and meet the artists.

First band on stage will be BOTTOM FEEDER at 19.30.

To all of you who didnt get a tickets and are hoping to get it; We are sorry but its completely sold out and we wont be selling any more tickets at the door.

Change in the scheduale and location for VIRUS BIO!

We have moved the location of the cinema, VIRUS BIO during the fest from Dødsmaskinen. The movie screenings will be in the neighbouring Culture House, Bilblioteket. You will see signs leading your way to the cinema on the second floor of Biblioteket.

If you didn’t make it to last years festival you will have a chance to see the photo’s from last year taken by Astrid Tonella at the festival.mAstrid is a French photographer based in Malmö, Sweden. She started photography in 2011 and is a 100% self taught. For the past years she has been dedicated to photographing the underground scene. Her work is mainly monochrome and aims to realise a raw visual reproduction of the atmosphere the artists create during their live performance. She has been collaborating mostly with Cvlt Nation covering fests like Roadburn, Power of the Riff and Heavy Days last year.

All of us from the HDDT crew are working on full speed to get everything ready for Thursday! We are looking so much forward to the fest and to meet all the bands, partners and guests who have supported this event! We are stoked beyond our wildest imagination that so many people have been buying tickets in advance! Thanks so much!

Just to put all rumours down; THERE ARE STILL TICKETS FOR UNGDOMSHUSET FRIDAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY!

If you wanna be 100% sure to get in we advise you to buy your ticket online before the fest starts. It will be cheaper and better for us, but the tickets we havent sold in presale will be sold at door. We advise people who wants to buy tickets at the door to arrive early.

Troubled Horse (swe) cancels HDDT – Grime (it) fills in

Unfortunately TROUBLED HORSE (swe) have had to cancel their performance at this years HDDT. We have received the following statement explaining the situation: “We are very sorry to inform you that we have to cancel our show at Heavy Days In Doomtown. Our friends (and bassplayer Ola’s other band) WITCHCRAFT just had to cancel their upcoming European tour (w. Orchid and Free Fall) due to serious health issues. Last night we were asked to fill in for them and do this European tour, this is something we feel we have to do to help Witchcraft! Again, very sorry for this!” //Troubled Horse

As a replacement we were lucky that Cough is bringing GRIME from Italy. Grime will be opening Dødsmaskinen at 16.00 on Saturday instead of Skraeckoedlan (swe) who has been moved to Sunday at 21.00 in Dødsmaskinen. To see the full lineup changes see below.

Grime is a 3-piece sludge band from Trieste, Italy. They started their mission back in the summer of 2010 and their only goal ever since have been to bring destruction to a town near you. Their sound is rooted into the rotten burial ground and their songs are the sound of a decaying swamp filled with trash. Their slow and heavy groove is filthy and vicious, guitar riffs are sharp and covered with rust, drums and bass hit with the unstoppable power of a mud avalanche.
